Manqi Wei won the Isobel Cater Memorial Award for Humanities. Manqi joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Cadbury Sixth Form College for our intensive one-year A level course in Sociology, Chinese and Psychology, all of which she studied from scratch. She achieved A*AB and won a place to read Law at the University of Birmingham.

Adam Shahid and Qossay Abukhattab shared the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Medical Sciences Award. Adam joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ having from Hall Green School for our two-year A level course in Biology, Business and Chemistry. He achieved A*AA and won a place to read Medicine at King’s College London. Qossay joined from Al Manar International School (Doha) for our one-year NCUK Science Pathway course. He achieved grades A*A*AA in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and EAP and won a place to read Medicine at UCLAN.

Maya Verma won the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Dentistry Award. Maya joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls for our two-year A level course in Biology, Business and Chemistry. She achieved grades ABA and won a place to read Dentistry at the University of Birmingham.

James King won the Nikul Patel Memorial Prize for Mathematics. James joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ for our one-year A level course in Mathematics, having completed his A levels at Solihull School where he had achieved grades CCB grade in Mathematics, Psychology and Physics. He retook Mathematics over one year, achieving an A*, and won a place to study Mechanical Engineering with a Year in Industry at the University of Liverpool.

Amirkooshan Nasr won the Creative Arts Award. Amirkooshan joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Professor Reza High School for a Pre-A level programme before beginning a two-year A level course in Art, Digital Photography and Mathematics. He achieved grades AA*A and won a place to read Architecture at the University of West England.

Jessica Owusu-Sekyere and Evelyn Amini-Mohan shared the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Award for the best overall performance by an A level retake student. Jessica joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from King’s Interhigh School in Abergavenny, where she had achieved grades DD in Biology and Chemistry. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she retook both subjects over one year, achieving grades AA. Jessica won a place to read Cancer Biology and Immunology at the University of Bristol. Evelyn joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from King Edward School VI School, Stratford, where she had achieved DDU in Biology, Chemistry and French. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she retook Biology and French over one year and achieving grades BB and won a place to read Biomedical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London.

Arsya Aryana Anugraha won the NCUK award. Arsya joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Jakarta to complete a one-year NCUK Foundation course (Science Pathway). She achieved grades A*A*A* in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and won a place to read Medicine at Queen Mary University of London.

Rex Chan won the Lower Sixth Prize. Rex joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Victoria Shanghai Academy, Hong Kong for our two-year A level course in Biology, Business and Chemistry. He achieved outstanding results in all his subjects in the end of year examinations.

Grace Poon won the GCSE Award. Grace joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Taiwan for our two-year GCSE course. She took nine subjects and achieved grades 9,9,9,9,9,9,8,7,7 and is now taking A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Chinese and Religious Studies at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

Layla joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Waverley School, where she had achieved grades BBC in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. She retook all three subjects over one year and achieved grades AAA. Layla won a place to read Medicine at the University of Sheffield. Simran joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Sutton College, where she had achieved grades DU in Media Studies and Business. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she retook Media Studies and A level Business as a new subject over one year. Simran achieved grades BB and won a place to read Accounting and Finance at the University of Leicester.

Minchae Kim and Maya Almasri shared the Lower Sixth Award.Ìý Minchae joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from our sister college in Cambridge to take two-year A level course in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, achieving A*A*A* in her end of year examinations. Maya joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Alcester Grammar School for our two-year A level course in Biology, Chemistry and Economics, achieving A*A*A* in her end of year examinations.

Chun Nok Chin (Anson) won the Â鶹ÊÓƵ GCSE Award for the best performance by a GCSE student. Anson joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Hong Kong for our eighteen-month course in Biology, Chemistry, Chinese, Computer Science, English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Religious Studies. Anson achieved grades 9,9,9,8,5,9,9,8 and is now studying for his A levels at Tudor Grange Academy, Solihull.

Nok Yin (Alvin) ChiuÌýwon the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. Alvin joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Hong Kong for our two-year A level course in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. He achieved grades A*A*A*A*, meeting his conditional offer from the University of Cambridge to read Medicine. Alvin decided instead to pursue his university studies in Hong Kong.

He retook all three subjects over one year and achieved grades BBA. Kane won a place to read Bio-veterinary Science at the University of Liverpool.

Finbar (Fin) CowanÌýwon the Nikul Patel Memorial Prize for Mathematics. Fin joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Bristol Grammar School, where he had obtained grades DDE in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science. He retook Mathematics and Physics alongside Further Mathematics as a new subject over one year and achieved grades A*AA. Fin won a place to read Mathematics at the University of Manchester.

Noemie Menedou DjongoÌýwon the NCUK Award. Noemie joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from the American School of Douala, Cameroon to study on this nationally accredited university foundation programme. She achieved grades A*A*A*A* in the final examinations and won a place to read Medicine at the University of Central Lancashire.

Jasmine OberheimÌýwon the Lower Sixth Prize. Jasmine joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Twycross House School for our two-year A level course in Biology, History and Religious Studies. She achieved outstanding scores in all her subjects in the end of year internal examinations.

Varvara (Barbara) SokolÌýwon the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) Award. Barbara joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Columbia International College in Canada for our two-year A level course in History, Mathematics and Politics. At the end of the lower-sixth year she completed an EPQ on the role of political elites in different countries for which she achieved an A* grade.

Mfonobong EtimÌýwon the NCUK Award. Mfonobong joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Nigeria to study on this nationally accredited university foundation programme. He achieved grades A*A*A*A* in the final examinations and won a place to read Marketing at Aston University.

Hoi Ching Tracy LeungÌýwon the Lower Sixth Prize and the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) Award. Tracy joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Hong Kong to take our two-year A level course in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics achieving grades A*A*A*A* in her first-year examinations. She also completed an EPQ for which she also gained an A* grade.

Nikolay Golovatyy won the college’s Outstanding Academic Achievement Award and the Nikul Patel Mathematics Memorial Prize. Nikolay joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Russia for our one-year A level course in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. He achieved grades A*A*A* and a Distinction in AEA Mathematics. Nikolay won a place to read Mathematics at Christ Church College, Oxford.

Pranay RupareliaÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Medicine award. Pranay transferred to Â鶹ÊÓƵ after completing his A levels at Caterham School, where he had obtained grades BCB in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ he retook these subjects over one year, achieving grades A*A*A and winning a place to read Medicine at King’s College, London.

Yusra KhanÌýwon the Dentistry award. Yusra transferred to Â鶹ÊÓƵ after completing her A levels at Queen Mary’s Grammar School where she had obtained grades BBC in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she studied a one-year A level programme in Biology and Chemistry and a January to June A level course in Geography. She gained grades AAB and won a place to read Dentistry at the University of Leeds.

Olivia Mcdonald-MeyerÌýwon the Veterinary award. Olivia transferred to Â鶹ÊÓƵ after her first year at Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate, where she had obtained grades BCC in AS level Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. Completing the full A levels in these subjects at Â鶹ÊÓƵ over one year, she gained grades AAA and won a place to read Veterinary Science at the University of Liverpool.

Phoebe GeorgevicÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Humanities award. Phoebe joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from King Edward VI Five Ways School, where she had obtained grades BBC in A level Economics, Mathematics and History. She retook these subjects at Â鶹ÊÓƵ over one year, gaining grades AAA and winning a place to read Economics at the University of Manchester.

Ala BashirÌýandÌýBinita PatelÌýshared the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Science award. Ala joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys, where he had obtained grades BBB in A level Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ he retook these subjects over a combination of one-year and January to June courses, achieving grades A*A*A and winning a place to read Medicine at King’s College, London. Binita joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from King Edward VI Handsworth School, where she had obtained A level grades CCD in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she retook these subjects over one year, achieving grades AAA and winning a place to read Optometry at Aston University.

Joe LambÌýwon the Value-Added award. He joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ after achieving GCSE grades AAAAABBCCC at Bromsgrove School. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ he took our two-year A level course in Geography, Business Studies and English Literature, gaining grades ABB and winning a place to read Real Estate at Nottingham Trent University.

Abu Saad WariahÌýwon the prize for the best overall performance by a retake student. He joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Handsworth Grammar School, where he had obtained grades CCC in A level Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. He retook these subjects over one year at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, achieving grades A*AA and winning a place to read Economics at the University of Bristol.

Khai NguyenÌýwon the Gary Durrant Memorial Award for Creativity. Khai joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Vietnam to study on our two-year A level programme in Mathematics, Art and Digital Photography. He gained grades A*AB and won a place to read Fine Art Painting at the University of Brighton.

Seika OsafuneÌýon the Lower Sixth Award. Seika joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Singapore to study on our two-year A level programme in English Literature, History and Mathematics. At the end of her first year at Â鶹ÊÓƵ she achieved grade A* in her EPQ.

Chami LeeÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ GCSE award. Chami joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from South Korea and achieved GCSE grades A*,9,8,8,7,7 in one year. She has now joined our sixth form to study A levels in Biology, Mathematics, Psychology and Sociology.

Zainab YusoffÌýwon the NCUK Award. Zainab joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Malaysia to study on this nationally accredited university foundation programme. Zainab obtained grades A*A*A and won a place to read Astrophysics at the University of Manchester.

Howard XuÌýwon the college’s Outstanding Academic Achievement award. Howard joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from China and completed a one-year A level programme in Chemistry, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Additional Further Mathematics and Physics, obtaining grades A*A*A*A*A* and also gained A* in his Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Howard won a place to read Mathematics at Jesus College, Oxford.

Chris MoranÌýwon the Principal’s Award for outstanding contribution to college life. Chris joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ after completing his GCSEs at The King’s School, Worcester. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ Chris started a two-year A level programme in Business Studies, Economics and Law gaining grades AAB. Chris won a place to read Accounting and Finance at the University of Birmingham.

Charlotte CookeÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Medical award. Charlotte transferred to Â鶹ÊÓƵ after completing her A levels at Haybridge High School, where she had obtained grades ABB in Spanish, Biology and Chemistry and grade B in AS Physics. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she completed a one-year A level programme in Chemistry and Biology, achieving grades A*A and won a place to read Medicine at the University of Liverpool.

Shivali Pathak won the Dentistry award. Shivali transferred to Â鶹ÊÓƵ after completing her A levels at King Edward VI High School for Girls where she obtained grades BBC in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she studied a one-year A level programme in Biology and Chemistry and a short January to June A level course in Geography. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ Shivali achieved grades AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Geography and won a place to read Dentistry at the University of Leeds.

Ela OluwoleÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Humanities award. Ela joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Lagos, Nigeria when she was 15 years old and studied a two-year A level programme in Economics, Biology and History, gaining grades A*AA and winning a place to read Law at the London School of Economics.

Rosemond TanÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Science award. Rosemond joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from The Raffles Girls’ School in Singapore to study a two-year A level programme in Biology, Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Rosemund achieved grades A*A*A*A in Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and Biology and won a place to read Medicine at King’s College, London.

Johnny MorrisÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ prize for the most improved student. He joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ after completing his A levels at the Royal Grammar School, Worcester, where he obtained grades BCC in History, Business Studies and Politics. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ Johnny studied a one-year A level programme in Business Studies and Politics and a short retake course in History. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ Johnny obtained grades A*AA in Business Studies, History and Politics winning a place to read Business and Management at the University of Exeter.

Jasbir Banwait won the Â鶹ÊÓƵ GCSE award and joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Wolverhampton Grammar School after completing Year 9 and studied a two-year GCSE programme obtaining grades A*A*A*A*AAAA, plus 7 for Maths. Jasbir then stayed on within the sixth form at Â鶹ÊÓƵ where he is currently studying a two-year A level programme in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Sylvia Xie won the Nikul Patel memorial prize for Mathematics. She joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from China and completed a two-year A level programme in Mathematics, Chinese and Physics obtaining grades A*AA and also grade B in AS level Economics. She then won a place to read Accounting and Finance at the University of Warwick.

Darius Shoja-AssadiÌýwon the Riya Dandekar memorial prize for Public Speaking. Darius joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ college after completing his A levels at Solihull School where he achieved grades AABB in Biology, Chemistry, History and Mathematics. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ Darius completed a one-year A level programme in Economics gaining an A*. Darious is now reading Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University College London.

Iretidayo ZaccheausÌýwon the NCUK Award. Iretidayo joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Nigeria to join our new NCUK course. On completion of the course Iretidayo was also awarded the NCUK Award: International Foundation Year – Top Performing Student. Iretidayo is now studying Business and Economics at the University of Manchester.

Sameer SultanÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ prize for outstanding academic achievement. Sameer transferred to Â鶹ÊÓƵ after his first year in the sixth form at King Edward VI School Camp Hill for Boys, where he had gained AS level grades BBCC in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Geography.Ìý At Â鶹ÊÓƵ he continued on to A2 in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, obtaining grades A*A*A and winning a place to read Medicine at the University of Bristol.

Mohammed IsmailÌýandÌýXuanqing (Sunny) ZhuÌýshared the Â鶹ÊÓƵ prize for the best performance by a two-year A level student.Ìý Mohammed joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Shireland Collegiate Academy and studied our two-year A level programme in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.Ìý He achieved grades A*AA and won a place to read Pharmacy at Aston University. ÌýSunny joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from China for our two-year A level course in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics.Ìý She achieved grades A*A*A* and won a place to read Mathematics, Optimisation and Statistics at Imperial College, London.

Alex MoranÌýwon the Principal’s award for outstanding contribution to college life. He joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ after his first year in the sixth form at The King’s School, Worcester, where he had achieved AS level grades BCEE in PE, English, French and Biology.Ìý At Â鶹ÊÓƵ he restarted a two-year A level programme in Economics, English Literature and Law, gaining grades AAA. He won a place to read Law at the University of Birmingham. During his time at Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alex acted as a student ambassador and led the college running club.

Ali ShakarchyÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ prize for best improvement. Ali joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ after his first year in the sixth form of Handsworth Grammar School, where he had obtained AS level grades DEUU in Mathematics, Business Studies, Chemistry and Biology. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ he restarted a two-year A level programme in Business Studies, Chemistry and Biology, gaining grades AAA.Ìý He won a place to read Information Technology Management for Business (Strategy and Economics) at the University of Manchester.Ìý Ali also won the Conference for Independent Education national award for Value Added.

He joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Shrewsbury School, where he had achieved A level grades CCC in Classical Civilisation, Economics and Spanish. ÌýAt Â鶹ÊÓƵ Jonty studied one-year A levels in Spanish, Business Studies and Classical Civilisation, achieving grades AAB and winning a place to read Spanish and Management at King’s College London.

Kyra BowmanÌýwon the Riya Dandekar memorial award for public speaking. ÌýKrya joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Frankfurt International School after completing the first year of the IB. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she took a one-year A level course in Economics, History and English Literature, gaining grades AAB and winning a place to read History and Politics at the University of Exeter.

She has won a place to read Accounting and Finance at the University of Warwick.

Principal’s Award

Sweena PatelÌýwon the Principal’s Award.Ìý Sweena joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Cadbury Sixth Form College where she had just taken AS levels in Psychology, Health and Social Care, Spanish and Biology, gaining grades DDDU. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she restarted a two-year course in a new combination of subjects and gained grades AAA in A level Business Studies, Chemistry and Psychology, winning a place to read Psychology at the University of Nottingham.

Best Performance by a One-Year A Level Student

Nathan Tomlinson won the Â鶹ÊÓƵ prize for the best performance by a one-year A level student. Nathan joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ as a lower-sixth transfer from King Edward’s School having previously studied the first year of the International Baccalaureate. He took our one-year A level course in Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Chemistry, achieving grades A*A*A*A and winning a place to read Physics at Imperial College, London.

Charles NewbouldÌýwon the Â鶹ÊÓƵ prize for the best improvement by an A level student. Charles joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Shrewsbury School having obtained grades BCD in A level Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.Ìý At Â鶹ÊÓƵ he took our one-year A level course in Biology together with short A level retake courses in Mathematics and Chemistry. He achieved grades AAB and won a place to read Environmental Science at the University of Nottingham.

Best Performance by a Two-Year A Level Student

Rupinder KhokharÌýwon both the Â鶹ÊÓƵ prize for the best performance by a two-year A level student and the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Art prize.Ìý Rupinder joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Handsworth Grammar School to study A levels in Fine Art, Biology and Chemistry. He achieved grades A*AA and won a place to read Pharmacy at Aston University.

Best Performance by an AS Level Student (shared award)

Daanish Rehman, Khan Linh Tran (Linh) and Kanghua Cui (Kevin) shared the Â鶹ÊÓƵ prize for the best performance by a first year A level student. Daanish joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School and at the end of his first year obtained grades AAAA in AS level Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry and Mathematics.Ìý Linh joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ having previously studied in Vietnam. At the end of her first year she obtained grades AAAA in AS level Government and Politics, Economics, History and Mathematics, achieving 100% in each exam. Kevin joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ having previously studied in China. At the end of his first year he obtained grades AAAA in AS level Economics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics.

Nikul Patel Memorial Prize for Maths

Rosie WallbankÌýwon the Nikul Patel memorial prize for Mathematics. Rosie joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from Wilnecote High School, where she had obtained grades ABC in A level History, Biology and Mathematics. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she took one-year A level courses in Biology and Mathematics, achieving grades A*A and winning a place to read Law at the London School of Economics.

Dentistry Award (joint award)

Hiral Sapa and Kian Dhinsa shared the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Dentistry Award. Hiral joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls where she had achieved A level grades AA in Biology and Geography. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ she took an intensive short retake course in Chemistry, obtaining grade A and winning a place to read Dentistry at the University of Sheffield.Ìý Kian joined Â鶹ÊÓƵ from King Edward’s School to take a short A level course in Chemistry. He too achieved grade A in Chemistry and won a place to read Dentistry at King’s College London.
